That the angora goat draws its name from the province of Angora (now Ankara) in Turkey where it comes from.

Mukhayyar : "That which is selected, the most beautiful" ! It is in one of these Arabic-Persian proverbs that we first find the word mohair, name of the fleece of the angora goat.

For over 12 centuries, people have realised the valuable qualities of this soft woven fabric. It was always highly sought, and in 11th century Turkey it was the reserve of the sultan.

On the brink of the 21st century, some stockbreeders with the heart of pioneers traverse the world to invite the "beautiful one" to come to feed on their lands of the FARMS OF FRANCE.
